A slow, untrustworthy website isn't neutral. It actively costs you clients. After building websites for businesses across Nigeria and Ireland, here's what we see most often — and how to fix it.
Most business owners judge their website the same way they judge their office — by how it looks to them. But your website isn't for you. It's for the person who just heard your name for the first time and opened their phone to check if you're real.
That person makes a decision in about 3 seconds. If your site takes 6 seconds to load, they've already left. If it looks like it was built in 2014, they've already decided you're not serious. If they can't tell what you do in 5 seconds of reading, you've lost them.
These are the patterns we encounter repeatedly when clients come to us after trying cheaper solutions:
A useful test: open your website on your phone, on mobile data, at 9am. Time how long it takes to load. Then find your phone number. If either of those took more than 3 seconds, you have a problem.
This isn't about design trends or colour palettes. It's about reducing the distance between "I found this business" and "I contacted them."
A well-built website is not a cost. It's the best salesperson you have — one that works 24 hours a day, never calls in sick, and reaches people you'll never meet in person.
Most of the businesses we work with see a meaningful increase in enquiries within the first month of launching a properly built site. Not because we did anything magical. Because the previous site was actively sending people away.
If your current website is costing you clients, the cost of fixing it is much smaller than the cost of keeping it broken.
If it isn't, we can help. We build fast, professional websites that convert visitors into clients.
